Flowers & Light

In the Summer of 2017 on a HOT day in Georgia, I stumbled onto a fun photo trick. With the right light and a really fast shutter-speed, flowers take a pretty stunning in-camera bow. Ever since, I’ve tinkered around with the technique. Here’s a collection of images from that ongoing project. They remind me of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
